Generating Business Names From the World’s First Affordable Naming Seminar
Published January 18th, 2010
For many entrepreneurs, naming their new business baby is an exercise in frustration. Every time they think up a few promising possibilities, they discover the names are already taken or they realize those options have serious disadvantages. Until now, the only help available seemed to be from other amateurs, or from professionals for thousands of dollars. In April 2010, however, a new naming seminar debuts that’s within the budget of most startups – as well as that of marketers eager to learn secrets of the naming trade that are rarely taught anywhere (www.namedatlast.com/roses.htm ).
“In several hours of research, I couldn’t find any naming seminars priced less than $7,500,” says Marcia Yudkin, “Head Stork” of the business naming company Named At Last. “And those two were in-house corporate workshops not open to the general public. Our reasonably priced new seminar is structured so it helps business people create both a name and tag line for their company and to have confidence that their branding beautifully suits their marketing goals.”
“Rose, Rosebuzz, Rosenoser, BloomMoon: The Art of Company Naming” takes place via teleseminar on four consecutive Wednesdays, starting April 7. Participants who attend the sessions and complete the homework assignments are guaranteed to end up with a name and tag line that fit their criteria.
Those taking the course to learn the art of naming rather than to come up with a name for their enterprise are encouraged to help name a venture for a friend, or for a charitable project, as they work through the assignments.
The interactive course, for only eight participants, costs $897 and includes extensive instructions, handouts, resources and discussion of participants’ naming challenges as well as up to an hour of one-on-one help from the instructor, naming expert Marcia Yudkin.
Yudkin founded her naming firm Named At Last in 2005, building on several decades of experience as a copywriter, publicity expert, business commentator and published author.
