UK Financial advisor accused of £1million scam

A 57-year-old financial advisor has been charged with stealing more than £1m from elderly people.
Mike Tomlinson, from the Nantwich area of Cheshire, is accused of carrying out an investment scam while he worked in Market Drayton, Shropshire.

He is accused of 26 counts of deception and one of fraudulent trading and is due to appear before Market Drayton magistrates on Wednesday.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1998 and 2005.

West Merica Police said he was charged on 3 March and is currently on bail.
