Unigold Inc., a Canadian gold exploration and mining company, has become the first North American Company to be listed on the Dubai International Financial Exchange. The firm, which became the fourth company in the gold mining sector to be listed on the exchange, is exploring for gold on its 226 square kilometres concession in the Dominican Republic and has a reconnaissance licence to explore for minerals anywhere in Saudi Arabia.
