IQ shelves plan to raise $1.3bn

Industries Qatar has halted its plan to borrow $1.3bn for the expansion of a steel plant due to turmoil in global credit markets, reported Bloomberg. The company says the project is 'still viable,' and talks with contractors are continuing even though the financing has been delayed.
