The Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority said 40 brokerages face penalties for failing to meet the end-of-September deadline set by the authority to adapt to new requirements, reported Gulf News. Companies that missed the deadline will be suspended for one month and be given a new grace period, after which failure to comply will result in full suspension of activities and removal from the brokerages list.
