FTSE, Dow Jones, Nasdaq all up

The FTSE 100 finished the trading week with a gain of 0.4% to close on 6,456.7 points, a gain of 27.7 points. The financially troubled bank Northern Rock was one of Friday's big gainers, rising 4.9% to 194.3 UK pence. In the US, the Dow Jones also advanced by 0.4% to end the day on 13,820.2 points, while the Nasdaq gained 0.6% to finish on 2,671.2 points. [AMEInfo.com]
