Kuwaiti money grows again

Published September 17th, 2007

Kuwait's money supply grew at the second fastest rate of the year in August, with M3, the broadest money supply measure, rising 18.9% to $63.6bn when compared to the same month last year, reported Reuters citing figures on the central bank's website. M3 grew at its fastest rate since 1994 in July when it increased by 22.5%. Analysts believe the double digit money supply growth indicates strong inflationary pressure. [AMEInfo.com]
