Dow, FTSE rise

U.S. stocks rallied on Tuesday, bolstered by confidence the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates next week. The Dow was up 180.54 points, or 1.38%, to finish on 13,308.39. Meanwhile, the U.K.'s FTSE 100 index was up 146.60 points, or 2.39%, to finish on 6,280.70. [AMEInfo.com]
