Deutsche Bank short-listed for Lloyds TSB?s Abbey Life auction

Deutsche Bank AG has been short-listed to take part in an auction for Lloyds TSB’s life insurance unit Abbey Life, which may fetch about 1 bln stg, Financial Times Deutschland reported, without citing its sources.

Other potential bidders are Resolution Life, Pearl Group and Swiss Re, the newspaper said.
Abbey life is a closed life insurer, meaning it is not accepting new clients, that manages assets worth about 12 bln stg, according to FT Deutschland.
