Reserve Bank of India to hold auctions to raise money

The RBI has announced a slew of auctions for next week, reports CNBC-TV18.

On behalf of the government, it will sell Rs 5,000 crores of 10-year bonds and Rs 5,000 crores of T-bills on Monday.

On Wednesday, it will sell another Rs 6,000 crore worth of 19 and 182 day T-bills. On Friday, it will auction 10-year bonds worth another Rs 6,000 crores.

In all, the government will raise Rs 22,000 crores from the market.
