RBI to auction 364-day GOI Treasury Bills for Rs. 20 bn

The Reserve Bank of India today decided to auction 364-day Government of India Treasury Bills for the notified amount of Rs. 20 billion. The auction will be conducted on Mar 14, 2007 using `Multiple Price Auction` method.
The bank has specified that Rs.10 billion of the auction amount would be under the regular auction calendar and Rs.10 billion would be under the Market Stabilisation Scheme (MSS). The allocation to the non-competitive bidders will be outside the notified amount, at the discretion of the bank.
The result of the auction will be announced on Mar 14, 2007 and the payment by the successful bidders will be on Mar 16, 2007.
